Community-engaged Food Studies scholar whose research examines how food environments, institutions, policies, and community networks shape food access, cultural food practices, and livelihoods, particularly in culturally diverse urban and suburban communities. My work spans immigrant foodways and entrepreneurship, community food governance and infrastructure, and public and community-based food retail, with comparative and international perspectives. Trained as a professional cook and shaped by years of community food program leadership, I connect community-engaged research with experiential teaching in Food Studies, human geography, and environmental studies.
